Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Knoq (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Knoq is an AI-powered knowledge agent that connects to your organisation’s tools (Slack, Notion, GitHub, Linear, and others) via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and answers questions using Anthropic’s Claude models. The Service is provided on a subscription basis as described on our pricing page.

3. Accounts and Organisations

Access to Knoq is granted at the organisation level via Stytch B2B authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at legal@knoq.one if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or infrastructure
  • Use the Service to generate, distribute, or store illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
  • Use the Service to train competing AI models

5. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Dodo handles all tax compliance, VAT, and invoicing. By subscribing, you authorise Dodo Payments to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date via the billing portal at /admin/billing.

Refunds are handled at Dodo Payments’ discretion in accordance with their refund policy. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months except where required by applicable law.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Knoq does not store the content of your connected tools — queries are executed in real time and only session metadata, usage counts, and encrypted OAuth tokens are persisted. See our Security page for the full persistence surface.

7. Intellectual Property

Knoq and its underlying technology are owned by Knoq and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all data you bring into the Service via connected tools. You grant Knoq a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

Outputs generated by the Service are provided to you for your use. We make no warranty that outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KNOQ DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate — always verify before acting on them.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KNOQ’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KNOQ IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100. IN NO EVENT SHALL KNOQ BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may cancel your subscription via the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we will delete your data in accordance with our data retention policy (typically 30 days after account closure).

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email to your registered address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
