Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: May 8, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Knoq platform and supplements our Terms of Service. By using Knoq, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. Prohibited Uses

You must not use Knoq to:

2.1 Illegal activity

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Infringe intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Engage in fraud, phishing, or identity theft
  • Process personal data in violation of GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws

2.2 Harmful content

  • Generate, distribute, or store content that is illegal, abusive, defamatory, or harassing
  • Create or distribute malware, spyware, or other malicious code
  • Generate content that sexualises minors
  • Produce content designed to incite violence or hatred

2.3 Platform abuse

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or infrastructure
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
  • Use automated scripts to abuse the Service beyond normal usage patterns
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission from Knoq
  • Use the Service to train competing AI models or build competing products
  • Share account credentials with unauthorised users

2.4 Data misuse

  • Connect tools or data sources you do not have authorisation to access
  • Use the Service to exfiltrate confidential data from your organisation without authorisation
  • Attempt to access other organisations’ data

3. Responsible AI Use

Knoq uses Anthropic’s Claude models. You agree to use AI-generated outputs responsibly:

  • Verify AI outputs before acting on them in high-stakes decisions
  • Do not represent AI-generated content as human-authored without disclosure where required
  • Do not use the Service to make automated decisions about individuals without appropriate human oversight where required by law

4. Enforcement

Knoq reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. We may, without notice:

  • Suspend or terminate access to the Service
  • Remove content that violates this AUP
  • Report violations to law enforcement where required

We will restore access if an investigation concludes no violation occurred.

5. Reporting Violations

6. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
